Dentist
I need to go to the dentist.
I last went when we were concerned about covid but it wasn't at panic levels yet. I remember that because I asked if I could sign with my own pen; she said a lot of people were doing exactly that. My appointment 3 months later got cancelled, this was when we still expected covid to be over "soon".
And then I moved house. And it's not a million miles from where I used to live, but it's a bus ride to nowhere, to the same dentist.
And there is a dentist practice round the corner. But I haven't registered with them. Yet. I don't even know if they take NHS patients. (Most practices will have some, but only a fixed number of slots. So they might not be accepting new NHS patients, I mean.)
In August, I think it was, I had to see the emergency dentist. Five days of antibiotics "and then follow up with your usual dentist as soon as you can". Which, spoiler: has not happened yet.
So now I don't know what to do. Arranging either option feels like a level of life admin that is a bit beyond me right now. Especially for something as unrewarding emotionally as going to the freakin' dentist, y'know?
But in the meantime, I still have toothache.
Also, I got shampoo on my toothbrush from when it was in my washbag. Super gross. And I do have spare toothbrushes, but I liked that one. Bristles were really soft, so it was gentle to use. And it's biodegradable.
